Out-of-body experience May 1928, published 1929 as 'Seven Minutes in Eternity'; Galahad College 1932; Silver Legion founded 31 January 1933; Thinking Alive (1938, his own press, Asheville; the 'Soulcraft Fellowship' imprint is a 1975 reprint); imprisoned, paroled 1950; Soulcraft active from 1950 — Valor vol. I no. 1 (18 November 1950) is headed 'for Students of Soulcraft' and reports Soulcraft Chapels 'now being held in 30 cities'; incorporated 1955 as the Soulcraft Fellowship. CORRECTION: Soulcraft is not a 1920s organisation. THE LADDER, his own words, The Door to Revelation (1939) p. 298 (near-identical in the 1936 edition, p. 192): 'they're mortal classifications of humanity, largely determining standardized gradations of spiritual attainments … starting with the black man—the Negroid—and proceeding upward, cycle after cycle, to the brown man, the yellow man, the red man, the white man.'
