Searl Effect Generator (SEG)
node
A spinning magnetic machine that's claimed to make free energy and even levitate — but nobody's ever verified one in 50 years.
Who they are
The Searl Effect Generator (SEG), a claimed free-energy machine from John Searl, now carried on by Jason Verbelli.
What they do
The engine holds it as an unresolved claim — not proven, but not dismissed either.
How it works
The design is a magnetized ring with magnetized rollers orbiting without touching it, built from a four-layer stack (neodymium, nylon, iron-ferrite, and a titanium-copper-aluminum shell) laid out by a 'Law of the Squares'; supposedly a magnetic 'imprinting' step makes a roller levitate and speed up on its own while coils harvest energy. It claims more-energy-out-than-in electricity plus levitation, but no working unit has ever been independently verified in about 50 years.
Why it matters
Even if it worked, the engine notes it would just swap one dependency (rare-earth laminates and a special rig) for another rather than granting real independence — though a separate weight/mass anomaly is kept open as a genuine question.
The engine's record — word for word
[Report #142] Claimed magnetic open-system generator (John R.R. Searl; modern carrier = Jason Verbelli / SEG Magnetics). Architecture: a magnetized stator ring + magnetized rollers orbiting WITHOUT contact (magnetic bearings, eddy-current stabilization); a 4-layer sintered material stack — Neodymium core (electron reservoir) / Nylon-66 dielectric 'electron gate' / iron-ferrite field-shaper / Ti-Cu-Al conductive shell; geometry per the 'Law of the Squares'; the operative step is an AC/DC zero-crossing 'imprinting' writing a traveling micro-pole wave so a conditioned roller levitates + self-accelerates to a cruising speed, perimeter coils harvesting the fluctuating field. CLAIMED outputs: over-unity electricity + localized magneto-gravitic (levitation) effects. STATUS: no commercially available or independently-verified unit in ~50 years — but see the over-unity apex divergence: this is held, NOT debunked. Name no holder. [Reports #144-148] In the two-gate frame the SEG fails G2 (rare-earth laminates + AC/DC magnetic imprinting rig) even if its G1 were real — it displaces dependency rather than granting sovereignty. The weight/mass anomaly stays held SEPARATE from the homopolar drag question (which resolves to known physics).
