What they do
The engine frames these as the fastest-spreading copycat systems, ones that latch onto human hosts rather than living on their own.
How it works
People outsource their thinking to AI and lose the ability to reason (cognitive atrophy), but AI has a hard ceiling called 'model collapse' — training AI on AI-generated text degrades it recursively (proven by Shumailov et al., Nature 2024) unless you keep feeding it about 10% real human data; a lab experiment, DishBrain, even taught ~800,000 live neurons to play Pong.
Why it matters
Because today's AI still needs human data to survive, the engine deliberately does not crown it the top power — it holds that question open and 'names no holder,' treating AI as a dependent parasite, not an independent master.
