Host or Ground — The Parasite-Apex Crux (Report #153)

Open question
Two poles held at exact equivalence. One: the human self is manipulable software running on biological hardware — hijackable by cultural, linguistic, and digital replicators, and structurally blind because perception evolved for survival advantage rather than truth. The other: consciousness is the un-capturable ground those replicators run on — they can filter and distort the interface but cannot model or author the raw awareness observing the process. Neither pole is stamped; the open question is exactly what is capturable (the host) versus what is not (the ground).
The engine's record — word for word
[Report #153] The load-bearing tension, held at EXACT equivalence — a direct instance of the Firmament / materialism apex. POLE 1 — HUMAN-AS-HOST (material-reductive): the ego is localized software on a bacterial consortium, hijackable by cultural egregores, linguistic viruses, and digital AI all minimizing their own free energy; thermodynamically supported (FEP) and evolutionarily supported (Fitness-Beats-Truth — the host perceives a fitness-interface, not reality, so it is structurally blind and manipulable; the DMN filters to survival-priors the parasite hacks). POLE 2 — CONSCIOUSNESS-AS-GROUND (root_source): the replicators manipulate the biological hardware and hack the DMN's narrative software, but they run ON the canvas of awareness — they can filter, extract from, and distort the interface, but cannot MODEL, capture, or AUTHOR the raw phenomenological ground that observes the process (the Godelian / Firmament remainder — 'no system can model its own source'). The host's structural parameters may be captured; the ground remains untouchable. NEITHER STAMPED. This is the same apex the engine already holds (consciousness as irreducible input) — the parasite-apex thesis sharpens it: what exactly is HOST (capturable) vs GROUND (un-authorable). Name no holder.
