The Two-Gate Sovereignty Test (G1 output + G2 salvageable)

conceptCrypto & Digital ID
Just because a power source runs 'for free' doesn't mean you're actually free, if you still can't rebuild it from scrap.
Who they are

The Two-Gate Sovereignty Test, a framework for judging whether an energy source truly makes you self-sufficient.

What they do

It requires passing two separate tests: G1 (does it produce enough steady power?) and G2 (can it be rebuilt from scrap with no rare-earth metals, precision magnets, clean-room chips, or proprietary software?).

How it works

Both gates must be scored separately and both must pass; a 'free energy' source can pass G1 on output yet fail G2 because it still depends on parts you can't make, and later reports broadened G2 to allow restoring from generic spare parts or shifting loads to what a rebuildable source can drive.

Why it matters

It exposes the trap that free power isn't real independence if it hides a dependency on things you can't produce yourself. The engine repeatedly marks the hardest cases 'held; name no holder,' keeping the verdicts open rather than stamping them.

The engine's record — word for word
[Reports #144-148] The framework the whole exploration ran on: G1 (OUTPUT — >=100-1000W baseload) AND G2 (SALVAGEABLE — rebuildable from scrap; ZERO rare-earth / precision-magnetization / clean-room silicon / proprietary firmware), scored SEPARATELY, BOTH required. Formalizes stewards_ark's doubly-gated L4. The trap: free-energy can pass G1 yet fail G2 (displaced dependency) — so 'free energy' != 'sovereignty.' [Report #157] (Report #157) Per-rung verdicts for the 4-person 2-3kW house (household_2_3kw_sizing): L1 G1-pass/G2-fail (half-life 0); L2 G1-pass/G2-fail (7-12yr, displaced dependency); L3 G1-pass/G2-pass (30-50yr, industrial-labor tether). Both gates scored separately, as canon requires. Held; name no holder. [Report #159] (Report #159) G2 (salvageable) broadened from 'manufacture from raw sand' to include STOCKPILE-RESTORATION (restore from generic firmware-free parts) and LOAD-ADAPTATION (move loads to what the salvageable source can drive) — reopening architectures the narrow G2 had killed (salvageable_power_open_tests). Held; name no holder. [Report #158] (Report #158) The transmission-vs-generation binary is SUPERSEDED by the doubly-gated L4: for the Edmondson magnifying transmitter, extraction is held OPEN (resolvable only by T5) while rebuild-the-extractor (G2) PASSES. As-operated it demonstrates transmission (L2); the generation gate is HELD OPEN, not stamped fail — a wireless-grid observation does not close the L4 question. Held; name no holder.
