The seizure of the German state, step by step, 1932 to 1934 — twenty-three new pages and fifty-nine new connections, built from documents that were downloaded and read rather than recalled. The chain now runs unbroken: nineteen businessmen asking the president to appoint Hitler in November 1932 and being refused; a private negotiation in a banker's Cologne living room on 4 January 1933; the appointment on 30 January, with the cabinet discussing how to sideline parliament that same afternoon; an election fund raised from heavy industry three weeks later; the fire; the emergency decree the next morning; a change to parliament's house rules that counted absent members as present; the law handing the government power to legislate alone; a death penalty backdated four weeks; the law that dissolved the regional parliaments and, in a clause nobody quotes, cancelled the Communist seats retroactively; the purge of the civil service; the press law; and the merger of the presidency into the chancellorship, passed the day before the president died. Three things in this pass correct work already on this site. First, the claim that the steel magnate Fritz Thyssen was Hitler's earliest major backer: a historian's audit of the court file found about 400,000 marks, over half of it not freely given, and found the memoir it rests on to be a book its supposed author never fully read. That claim is now qualified on the page and on the player card, not deleted. Second, the famous Enabling Act vote count: 441 and 444 are both in the record — the first was announced from the chair, the second found on a recount — and the chairman's constitutional arithmetic was wrong three separate ways. Third, the one election figure this site has carried for this whole story, 2.6%, which it describes as a tipping-point transition of the kind that happens between 10% and 17%: with the full table now in place, no national election ever returned a Nazi share inside that band. That line is annotated rather than rewritten. What is still missing is listed rather than filled in. Twenty-nine figures in the incoming research came from an AI's memory instead of a document — the 1923 death tolls, the 1932 vote counts, the purge victim count, the 1934 plebiscite — and none of them were minted. Seventeen of its fifty-four sources sat on pirated-book sites, anonymous question-and-answer pages, a Facebook post, a Reddit thread or a dealer in Nazi memorabilia; Hitler's personal finances in it rested on two Quora answers. Twenty-one of its sources were clean archives, which is what makes the rest a choice rather than a limit. Wannsee, Kristallnacht, the killing of the disabled, the Einsatzgruppen reports and the Transfer Agreement remain open and are named as open.

Maerz 1933', VfZ 1/3 (1953), pulled from the IfZ archive and read in German (669 of 1464 extracted lines - the passage of the law; the post-1933 application sections were not read). (1) THE 441/444 SPLIT IS RESOLVED: Goering announced a provisional '335 Karten... mit Nein 94, mit Ja 441', and '(Bei der spaeteren genauen Nachzaehlung ergaben sich sogar 444 auf Ja lautende Stimmzettel gegen 94 Nein-Stimmen.)' Both figures are in the record; DHM carries 441, the Bundestag 444. Goering's constitutional arithmetic was wrong three ways - legal membership 647 not 566, quorum 432 not 378, majority two-thirds of the 538 actually present (359) not his 252. (2) THE RETROACTIVE CHAIN NOW HAS THREE LINKS, AND THE EARLIEST IS THE ENABLING ACT'S OWN QUORUM: 'Die ‚Rechtsgrundlage‘ ist erst nachtraeglich durch eine auf Grund des Ermaechtigungsgesetzes erlassene Vorschrift beschafft worden' - section 10 of the Gleichschaltung law of 31 March 1933 voided the KPD seat allocations retroactively, eight days after their absence had carried the vote. With the Lex van der Lubbe (29 Mar 1933, backdating a capital penalty over 31 Jan - 28 Feb) and the Staatsnotwehr law canon already held (3 Jul 1934), that is three instruments in sixteen months supplying legal bases for acts already done. Schneider also locates the constitutional breach BEFORE the Act: the standing-orders change counting absent deputies as present, 'die nicht erscheinenden Abgeordneten als anwesend zu fingieren', with the chair as sole judge - 'Eigentlich hat der Reichstag nicht erst durch die Annahme des Ermaechtigungsgesetzes, sondern schon durch die Annahme dieser Geschaeftsordnungsaenderung... den Boden der Verfassung von Weimar verlassen.' Only the SPD objected; the Zentrum voted for it. THE CORRECTION TO CANON'S OWN CLAIM: prescott_bush_ubc, its edge to hitler, and the Prescott Bush card in players section 11 all call Fritz Thyssen 'Hitler's earliest major backer'. Turner, VfZ 19/3 (1971), read in the original: the Koenigstein court established direct payments of about 400,000 Mark, more than half not entirely voluntary; the 1940 one-million claim is 'eine aus der Luft gegriffene Schaetzung'; 'I Paid Hitler' is 'zweifellos keine authentischen Lebenserinnerungen' - Thyssen never saw eight of nineteen chapters. Equal burden carried: Turner says the figures may be too LOW. The superlative is QUALIFIED, not struck.
