Frank La Salla
CEO, DTCC — Commander of US Securities Settlement
Frank La Salla runs the clearing house that processes $2.2 quadrillion a year. He came from BNY Mellon — the world's largest custodian. In January 2021, it was the DTCC's margin demands that shut off GameStop buying, not the SEC or the exchanges. The clearing house holds the actual kill switch for market access.
