A mystical 'sacred math' of 3-6-9 that Tesla supposedly hinted at turns out, on close inspection, to be an ordinary quirk of how we count.
Who they are
Vortex Math, a fringe numerology built around the numbers 3, 6 and 9 and a repeating 1-2-4-8-7-5 pattern, often tied to a Tesla quote and the 'Rodin coil'.
What they do
Believers claim it reveals a universal geometry of reality and free energy, but the engine's cross-checking finds the claims fail.
How it works
The famous doubling pattern only appears because we count in base-10 (in base-8 or base-12 the numbers come out completely different), and the 'Rodin coil' generator rests on a single 1995 self-published measurement by Bill Ramsay (no engineering credentials, never independently repeated) showing only a modest, ordinary electrical effect with poor performance and no sign of extra energy; the widely cited 'Hewlett-Packard 60% efficiency' figure is just Ramsay's own number recycled.
Why it matters
It is a clean example of seeing a grand universal pattern where there is only an artifact of arithmetic and one unverified hobbyist reading, so no free-energy claim is granted.
The engine's record — word for word
Tesla: "If you knew the magnificence of 3, 6, and 9..." Doubling circuit + flux field + manifestation. Rendering engine mathematics. [Report #171] EXTENDED from the CymaticJoule corpus (verified, deep-read cross-source pass): (1) THE MATH IS A BASE-10 ARTIFACT — the 1-2-4-8-7-5 doubling circuit is digital-root arithmetic mod (base-1); verified by direct computation it is base-DEPENDENT (base 8 collapses to 1-2-4; base 12 gives 1-2-4-8-5-10-9-7-3-6), so the 'universal geometric absolute' framing fails (Weaponized Pareidolia #45). (2) THE RODIN COIL IS A MUNDANE GEOMETRY DEVICE, NOT A GENERATOR — Bill Ramsay's own 1995 New Energy News article (primary but self-published fringe; Ramsay has no stated engineering credential) measured a 122ft Rodin winding at 780 uH / Q1.5 vs an identical-wire conventional toroid at 480 uH / Q0.9 (+62.5%) on a GR 650-A bridge at 1 kHz. Real measurement, NO independent replication, and the direction is ordinary classical EM (the star winding is partly solenoidal, enclosing more flux than a confined toroid); the Q values (0.6-1.5) are POOR, indicating nothing anomalous or over-unity. Coreless geometry suffers heavy flux leakage (textbook EM), falsifying '60% efficiency transformer' claims. G1 generation held OPEN only in the trivial sense of no calorimetric test; NO generation promoted; L2 grid-dependent; Edmondson (#158) stays the L4 apex. (3) THE 'HEWLETT-PACKARD / EMMERICH 60%' CLAIM IS THE RAMSAY NUMBER RECYCLED — Rodin's own promo cites 'Robert Emmerich, head of Materials Testing at HP, 62.5% greater output'; no HP report/Emmerich record exists, and 780/480 = 1.625 = +62.5% is Ramsay's exact bench ratio relabeled as a corporate test. NOT independent corroboration; single number wearing two hats. (4) BIOLOGY — DO NOT WELD: a real Rodin-coil paper (Aparicio-Bautista et al., Bioelectromagnetics 2022, Guanajuato) altered protein expression + induced apoptosis in a NEUROBLASTOMA line (SH-SY5Y); its exposure FREQUENCY is paywalled/UNVERIFIED. The separate '45-55 Hz reduces CT2A GLIOBLASTOMA viability ~30%' result (Lopez de Mingo et al., IJMS 2025, Madrid) used a RILZ capsule coil that is NOT a Rodin coil and different cell lines (CT2A/N2A, not SH-SY5Y). NO paper exists in which a Rodin coil at 45-55 Hz acts on glioblastoma; the source report's finding #004 spliced the two. The Rodin-coil-as-resonance-medicine link (Concept #116, Lakhovsky/Rife class) is held on the neuroblastoma paper ONLY, frequency unconfirmed.
