◉ PSYCHOHISTORY

Vaimanika Shastra / 2015 Indian Science Congress

concept
A 'flying machine' text presented as ancient science was actually dictated by a psychic less than a century ago.
Who they are

The Vaimanika Shastra, a Sanskrit text claiming ancient Hindu aircraft, and its promotion at India's 2015 Science Congress.

What they do

The engine treats it as a modern channeled text being repackaged as proof of ancient national technological greatness.

How it works

It was dictated by Subbaraya Shastry between 1918 and 1923, who claimed he received it psychically from an ancient sage; a 1974 study by scientists at IISc Bangalore showed the described machines could not fly. Even so, at the 2015 Indian Science Congress two presenters cited it as real ancient aviation, drawing a protest petition from over 200 scientists.

Why it matters

It shows a repeatable playbook: take a dubious or made-up 'ancient' text and turn it into a nationalist rallying point, the same pattern the engine notes in Russian channeled-text movements.

The engine's record — word for word
Engine extension to existing Hindutva / RSS / BJP / Modi cluster (Apr 30 2026 V2 alt-history audit). Vaimanika Shastra = Sanskrit text claiming ancient Hindu vimana (flying-machine) technology. Critical: NOT genuinely ancient — channeled-text origin, dictated by Subbaraya Shastry 1918-1923 (claimed by author to be received from Maharshi Bharadwaja via psychic transmission). IISc Bangalore 1974 paper (H.S. Mukunda et al, Scientific Opinion) demonstrated geometries described would not fly. Yet at Jan 2015 102nd Indian Science Congress (Mumbai), Captain Anand Bodas + Ameya Jadhav presented 'Ancient Indian Aviation Technology' citing Vaimanika Shastra, drawing widespread international scientific protest (>200 scientists signed petition). Engine relevance: the political-symbol APPROPRIATION of Vaimanika Shastra by Hindu Civilizational Nationalism is the engine-relevant pattern — channeled-text origin (Tier-3 source-integrity by Webb framing) repurposed as state-coded civilizational-priority claim. Architectural homology to Russian-pipeline (Levashov Slavic-Vedas / Megre Anastasia channeled-text instances). Same template: channeled or claimed-ancient text → political mobilization vector → state-aligned distribution. Tier-3 source-integrity, but operational-significance verdict separable from data-rigor verdict per Webb discipline.
