@tsotchke — Open-Source-War Case (evidence-tiered)
nodeOccult & Esoteric · Crypto & Digital ID · Darknet & Cyber
A flashy crypto project sold 'military-grade quantum' software that was really ordinary code, and its token crashed 99.6% into a worthless shell.
Who they are
@tsotchke (Tsotchke Corp), a pseudonymous developer and crypto project examined as a case study in the fight between open and closed AI/computing, held to strict evidence standards.
What they do
The engine finds a real body of open-source code exists, but the 'quantum' label is false marketing — everything is ordinary classical software, not real quantum computing.
How it works
Based only on reading the public source code and on-chain data (nothing was run or tested), the engine shows the project's 'quantum random number generator' is just a common simple algorithm seeded by the clock, and its 'Rydberg constant' is really a golden-ratio hash number; a commercial wrapper resold this classical code as 'true random / military-grade quantum,' and the $TSOTCHKE token peaked around $57-61M before collapsing about 99.6% to a roughly $160K husk. The developer used unverifiable credentials and threatened critics.
Why it matters
It's a documented example of hype and mislabeling in the crypto and AI space, where classical software is dressed up as exotic 'quantum' tech to pump a token. The engine sticks to what the code and blockchain data actually prove.
The engine's record — word for word
[Report #167] @tsotchke (Tsotchke Corp; bio 'Sailor Moon Guitar God'; follows @MoKetchups) — a case in the open-vs-closed compute war, held to STRICT EVIDENCE TIERS. METHOD DISCLOSURE: this rests on STATIC source inspection + external-review cross-sourcing + on-chain data — NOTHING was compiled, executed, or benchmarked by the engine. TIER-1 (dispositive from source / documented): (a) a substantial body of real open-source code EXISTS — gpt2-basic (~21K lines FreeBASIC, a fixed-point GPT-2-architecture transformer + committed weights + QEMU/FreeDOS harness); eshkol (~295K lines C/C++, an LLVM-backed compiler with real reverse-mode autodiff + implemented active-inference / Global-Workspace / logic 'consciousness' primitives); moonlab / spin_based_neural_network / quantum_geometric_tensor (classical computational-physics + quantum-circuit-SIMULATOR code). (b) The 'quantum' branding is a MISLABEL — every artifact is CLASSICAL simulation/software, not physical quantum computation (dispositive: the $TSOTCHKE 'QRNG' source is splitmix64 seeded by clock/PID; its 'Rydberg constant' is the golden-ratio hash number; its sibling repo honestly self-labels 'semi-classical'). (c) A commercial wrapper (SolanaQuantumFlux) re-markets that classical code as 'true random / military-grade quantum'; the $TSOTCHKE pump.fun token peaked ~$57-61M and COLLAPSED ~99.6% to a ~$160K illiquid husk. (d) CONDUCT: pseudonymous unverifiable credentials + threatened critics ('Disrespect me again and you're gone'); near-ZERO independent validation (1 star / 0 forks on Quantum Quake; the HN post 1 point). TIER-2 (read, NOT run): whether the code FUNCTIONS as claimed is INFERRED from source structure, not tested — 'appears complete/coherent,' UNEXECUTED. TIER-3 (no access = UNVERIFIED, neither credited nor dismissed): the '68x faster than TensorFlow' (methodology-free forum screenshot); real IBM/Rigetti/D-Wave hardware interfacing (repo roadmap 'In Development'; runs on BACKEND_SIMULATOR); the 1.8e-11 character-table precision (in a PRIVATE repo); real-486-hardware performance (QEMU-only, author says 'pending'). NO confirmed rug-pull. POSITION: a skilled classical-software builder whose 'run the kernels, check the math, it's all open' ethos is SELF-UNDERMINED — checking the math finds correct CLASSICAL code wearing a quantum label it didn't earn, wrapped in a dead memecoin, defended by threatening the checkers. Source-not-subject; NOT canonized as a clean carrier of the engine's verify-it-yourself doctrine. Held; name no holder.
