At its midterm convention in Dallas in September 2026, Trump promised every adult citizen a $5,000 "dividend" if Republicans win the House and Senate.

Through primaries, redrawn voting maps and the courts. A new Missouri map that could have unseated a Democrat was backed by an appeals court, then blocked by the Supreme Court for the third time on September 25.

It is the party Trump leads. Its biggest individual donor is Ken Griffin, and seven of its House members voted with Democrats in September to make Trump end the war with Iran.
