Philip Maxwell
playerThe Blackmail Network
The media mogul's son who walked away from the family and its scandals entirely.
Who they are
Philip Maxwell, son of media tycoon Robert Maxwell[1].
What they do
In the engine's read, he is treated as an independent figure separate from the family's operations.
How it works
A physics and mathematics scholar who entered Balliol College, Oxford at 16, he became estranged from the family, moved to Argentina, and stayed outside the family ventures. A fact-check correction notes the 'doctorate in French literature' belongs to his mother Elisabeth, not to him.
Why it matters
He's a reminder that being related to a central figure doesn't make someone part of the operation - the engine marks him as parallel and independent.
