Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900), used here as a philosophical lens.
The engine borrows his idea of the 'Last Man' to describe the ideal domesticated, complacent population.
Nietzsche contrasted the 'Last Man' — comfort-seeking, equal, unwilling to strive, declaring 'we have invented happiness' — with the striving Ubermensch and Will to Power. The engine maps the Last Man onto the 'Dead Internet' and a pacified user base, calling it 'the apex's ultimate success' (from Report #101's literary lenses on the power pyramid, May 24 2026).
It gives a name to the endgame where a controlling system wins not by force but by making people too comfortable and passive to resist.
