◉ PSYCHOHISTORY

The Monroe Institute / CIA Gateway Process (1983)

nodeIntelligence & Surveillance · Occult & Esoteric · Media & Managed Opposition · Defense & Military-Industrial
A consciousness lab in rural Virginia that the CIA formally studied in 1983 — and where the modern UFO-experiencer scene keeps turning up.
Who they are

Founded by radio executive Robert Monroe in Faber, Virginia. Its 'Gateway Experience' uses a layered-audio method called Hemi-Sync to induce out-of-body states and altered consciousness.

What they do

The government studied it directly: the CIA's own 'Analysis and Assessment of the Gateway Process' (1983), written by Lt. Col. Wayne McDonnell and released under FOIA, sits in the same institutional file drawer as the remote-viewing research the engine already tracks.

How it works

The people-trail is the point. Chris Bledsoe was brought here and brain-scanned — escorted and vouched for by John Alexander (an Army psychic-research and non-lethal-weapons colonel), Jim Semivan (CIA), and Hal Puthoff. The podcast-influencer lane rises through the same circuit.

Why it matters

Because it shows the consciousness side of the disclosure story running through the same institutional pipeline as the aerospace side — same names, same funding world. Held as a documented mechanism; no coordinator named.

The engine's record — word for word
Consciousness-research lab founded by radio executive Robert Monroe in Faber, Virginia; developed the 'Gateway Experience', a Hemi-Sync audio method to induce out-of-body states and altered consciousness. [Report #184] The government's consciousness pipeline runs through it: the CIA's own 'Analysis and Assessment of the Gateway Process' (1983, Lt. Col. Wayne McDonnell; FOIA CIA-RDP96-00788R001700210016-5) formally studied the technique, the same institutional register as the SRI/Puthoff remote-viewing work (see stargate). The disclosure-era experiencer channel wires back here: Chris Bledsoe was taken to the Monroe Institute and brain-scanned, escorted and vouched for by John Alexander (INSCOM psychic and non-lethal-weapons colonel), Jim Semivan (CIA), and Hal Puthoff; the influencer lane (Jordan Crowder) rises through the same Bledsoe/Monroe consciousness circuit. The consciousness variable is the same institutional pipeline as the aerospace/disclosure architecture. Held; name no holder.
