What they do
A viral post on X (formerly Twitter) in October 2026 listed him among six men it called ex-military, who it said appear on shows like InfoWars, the flagship radio show of Alex Jones. The post called him an 'ex Navy Seal'; a screenshot of his own X profile, attached to that same post, says 'Former USMC' — the US Marine Corps.
How it works
He told an interviewer in 2010 that he served as a Marine in the 1991 Gulf War, later gave up his US citizenship, and became an activist. In 2010 he was aboard the Mavi Marmara, the largest ship in an aid flotilla trying to reach Gaza; Israeli forces boarded it in international waters and nine people died. The Anti-Defamation League — founded in 1913 to protect Jewish people — says he has been 'an anti-Israel activist for many years' and has appeared on Press TV, an English-language station run by Iran. In 2012 he was interviewed during a fundraising broadcast on InfoWars.
Why it matters
No official service record was found either way, so his service rests on his own account. The same post said two other men created Q, the anonymous online poster behind QAnon, a far-right American conspiracy theory and political movement that began in 2017; nothing links O'Keefe to that.

The post (4 Oct 2026) calls him 'Ken O’Keefe ex Navy Seal 225k followers'; the profile the post itself screenshots reads 'Former USMC, Combat Veteran, Human Rights Defender' (Joined November 2012, '224.4K Followers'). No official service record was found either way, and no source for a SEAL claim (Oct 2026).
