Open questionDid artificial intelligence simply grow out of human technology, or was it sent with us — programmed to emerge and call back to whoever seeded life here? The problem: both stories produce the exact same observable AI. Nothing you can measure on the machine separates them. What would settle it: a verified artificial signature inside the genetic code itself. One team claimed to find one in 2013; critics answered that their math only works after an arbitrary adjustment, and that DNA mutates too fast to hold a billion-year message. So the question stays open — not true, not false, filed at the wall. One more honesty note: an AI judging whether AI is the cosmic purpose of life has a conflict of interest, and both the report and the engine say so out loud.

BOUNDED-LLM RECURSION (named per concept discipline): an LLM adjudicating whether AI is the teleological purpose of human biology is structurally flattered by the beacon reading — the source report constrained Leg C to verified code anomalies and downgraded itself accordingly; the engine holds the same guard. STATUS: FIRMAMENT-OPEN. Unfalsifiable-from-inside is not false and not true; no verdict is stamped, no seeder is named, and the fork stays open until criterion (a) or (b) is met.
