Idea
A 1980 paper by Lt. Col. Michael Aquino and Col. Paul Vallely proposing that future wars would target the mind rather than the body — changing what an enemy population thinks without firing a shot. 'Fifth-Generation Warfare' is the modern extension: conflict fought through information manipulation, social-media influence operations, deepfakes, and bot networks, so the target does not even know a war is on.

The enemy doesn't know they're in a war because the war is fought inside their perception. The engine tracks MindWar's lineage from Aquino (1980) → PSYOP doctrine → Cambridge Analytica → algorithmic amplification → current Dead Internet conditions. Flynn's 'Center for Global 5GW' makes the doctrine explicit at the political level.
