Four-Dial Conflict Profile (Realism / Substrate-Alignment / Outcome-Invariance / Misdirection)
Idea
A method for reading elite feuds without forcing them into 'real fight' or 'staged fight' boxes: each conflict gets scored on four independent dials — how much real capital is at stake, how much the contestants share owners and infrastructure, whether their class wins regardless of who wins, and how far the public story diverges from the real stake. Most real feuds score high on several dials at once — genuinely vicious and outcome-invariant and misleading — which is why the binary label fails; notably, shared passive ownership alone is not evidence a fight is staged.

Each conflict is a profile across four INDEPENDENT gradient dials that can all be high at once: (1) STAKES-REALISM — genuine non-recoverable capital/risk actually contested; (2) SUBSTRATE-ALIGNMENT — shared owners/capital/infrastructure among the contestants; (3) OUTCOME-INVARIANCE — does the class win regardless of who wins the feud (the cartel signal); (4) MISDIRECTION-LOAD — how far the public framing diverges from the operative stake. The labels 'kayfabe / open war / hidden war / misdirection' are CORNERS of this space, not categories — most real feuds sit in the interior (e.g. genuinely vicious AND outcome-invariant AND misdirecting at once). CRITICAL: passive/index co-ownership feeds dials 2 and 3 ONLY; it is NOT evidence that a feud is staged (per Divergence #197 — shared class-interest, real rivalry). Replaces the binary 'real vs fake' grade. Held; Layer-2.
