Idea
Mark Fisher's diagnosis that it is easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of capitalism: the system survives not by repression but by eliminating people's capacity to imagine alternatives, producing 'reflexive impotence' — knowing things are broken while feeling powerless to change them. Fisher (1968-2017) diagnosed the trap, and, as the entry puts it, it killed him.
